POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shopfloor Training Internship at Continental is a once in a lifetime opportunity to support a new facility start-up located in New Braunfels, Texas. The $110 million facility will manufacture Advanced Driver Assistance Systems for automated and assisted driving. The Shopfloor Training Internship position is a developmental role to gain practical experience in a human resources function and support the needs of the Talent Development & Human Relations Department. In this capacity, the Intern will contribute to successful training development operations for the new facility site. This position is scheduled to work part-time (no more than 31 hours per week) supporting the Talent Development function.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in training initiatives for shopfloor employees in the plant

  • Support with projects in alignment with the plant training strategy

  • Participate in planning and execution of training activities

  • Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to schedule and execute trainings

  • Support special projects aligned with the HR strategy, specifically focused on learning and development objectives

  • Support the HR team in other tasks and duties assigned

OUTCOMES:

The Workforce Development Intern can expect to gain practical experience in a broad range of HR focused functions and skills including:

  • Training coordination

  • Planning & Executing Training programs and initiatives

  • Strategy of competency building and assessment

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University Degree Program

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, Communication, Psychology, Business Administration, or other related studies

  • 3.0 overall GPA or higher

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
