Morgan Advanced Materials Powder Batching Operator in New Bedford, Massachusetts
The Powder Batching Operator is a member of the Ceramics Department reporting directly to the Production Supervisor. The role is an exciting opportunity to join a global, dynamic, Hi-Tech team, supporting the Medical, Aerospace and Industrial Component industries. Essential Functions: ? Perform various tasks as assigned by Department Supervisor. ? Weigh, measure, and combine raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities. ? Maintain a precise inventory log of raw materials ? Perform mixing, milling and formation of materials. ? Keep accurate and up to date batch records. ? Perform in process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. ? Prioritize following written and verbal instructions. ? Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and standards. ? Complete all relevant documentation. ? Clean & maintain equipment & work area. ? Work with Quality, Process and New Product Engineering to exchange technical information to develop new methods and to continually improve the company and operations. ? Participate in new equipment selection and implementation. ? Assist with the training/cross-training of all department employee. ? Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations and with Morgan New Bedford, MA EHS Guidelines. Guidelines include but not limited to participation in required EHS training and use of proper PPE.
