Aerotek Controls Technician in New Albany, Ohio

Description:

The Controls Technician performs a variety of skilled maintenance, modification and repair activities under general supervision of the assigned Lead Technician. Assigned areas may include material handling systems, conveyors, electrical systems, Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required.

As a controls technician you will be responsible for performing maintenance on material handling equipment (conveyors, air compressors, box makers, shrink wrappers, case sorters. etc.)

You will perform electrical troubleshooting (24v-480v), use a multi-meter and follow prints, troubleshoot circuits .You may also be responsible for basic maintenance activities i.e. plumbing, electrical, painting, etc. Required to follow lock out/ tag out procedures

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have:

-2 years industrial maint experience

-conveyors maintenance

-electrical up to 480v

-pneumatics/ hydraulics

-belts, valves, switches

Nice To Have:

-Experience with material handling systems, box makers or case sorters

-Maintenance on air compressors

-Technical schooling

-HVAC experience

-Welding
