Robert Half Sr. Accountant in New Albany, Indiana

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in New Albany, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for managing corporate accounting reports, including quarterly and year-end close, overseeing global accounting consolidation, and leading an accounting team to deliver accurate and timely financial documents.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of corporate accounting reporting, including the quarter and year-end close, defining the reporting requirement, standardizing chart of accounts, and reporting entity setup in the ERP system.

• Manage global accounting consolidation in coordination with domestic and international locations, including intercompany elimination, foreign currency translation, and consolidated financial variance analysis.

• Lead the accounting team in delivering accurate and timely financial closing documents and reports.

• Ensure accurate preparation of supportive reconciliations and account analysis.

• Be responsible for the analysis, development, creation, and implementation of financial statement reporting.

• Develop and propose new policies and procedures when necessary. Review and assess transaction flow into the accounting systems for accuracy and relevance, making changes for continuous improvements as needed.

• Review account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure compliance with local accounting procedures in adherence with US GAAP and IFRS.

• Provide insights and guidance with regards to all technical accounting issues as directed.

• Provide direction and guidance to cross-functional teams and third-party providers as needed.

• Support tax compliance and reporting requirements to achieve the most efficient tax strategy. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required

• Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries preparation is essential

• Demonstrated ability in Month End Close and Quarter-end procedures is necessary

• Knowledge of IFRS Accounting principles is required

• Familiarity with US GAAP is essential

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Must demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines is required

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is necessary

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required, a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred
