About The OpportunityProvide support for all issues relating to Folding Gluing Area production. Provide direction on the day-to-day activities of the department in order produce in the most efficient and effective manner. The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties, however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. Demonstrates commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Provide daily coaching and feedback to all department employees. Increase overall productivity to meet customer requirements Work with other Leads in regards to manufacturing and quality decisions Assign work and monitor production orders as they arrive in department Monitor schedules, rush orders, hot list, call-ins etc. Coordinate temporary service employees and all related activities Coordinate overtime postings/schedules Communication liaison with 2nd shift Area Manager and 3rd Shift Supervisor Coordinate quality concerns with quality personnel or Customer Service Provide answers and make decisions related to production and quality Monitor work areas to ensure all employees are working safely. Schedule production and monitor orders to increase overall productivity and quality while simultaneously meeting efficiency goals and customer commitments. Participate in daily scheduling meetings with other lead people to discuss priorities, rush, etc. Identify and implement process improvements & increased productivity opportunities. Enhance internal and external department communication toward a cohesive work environment. Participate in monthly department meetings and other meetings as needed to communicate policy, revisions, general updates, etc. Provide backup ECATS responsibilities and resolve issues with Payroll when necessary.
