Job Summary and Qualifications

The clinical placement manager is responsible for facilitating clinical placements of prelicensure nursing students in collaboration with the campus and the Office of Academic Records (OAR). The clinical placement manager will coordinate with the OAR and campus clinical staff to ensure efficient and accurate placement of students in the designated clinical learning facilities. This position facilitates the collaboration between the OAR and the campuses regarding clinical site schedules, compliance requirements, and required partner processes to ensure quality and continuity in the achievement of program outcomes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential student and faculty information.

  • Assist all campuses with planning and communicating the placement of students in clinical facilities.

  • Facilitate the collection and organization of clinical placement data in collaboration with the campuses.

  • Facilitate updating current, unexpired clinical affiliation agreements on the Employee Resource Center (ERC).

  • Oversee the implementation of a communication process between the OAR and campuses regarding student placement and compliance requirements.

  • Ensure timely, consistent, and accurate student communication regarding clinical placement requirements and facility information in collaboration with the Student Experience team, campuses, and OAR.

  • Provide oversight of the processes for communication among the campuses and the OAR regarding clinical compliance requirements, partner requirements, student placement in facilities, planned simulation experiences, and community partner deadlines.

  • Collaborate with the OAR, campuses, and Student Experience team to plan new student orientation, campus, and clinical orientation to provide students with information regarding clinical requirements.

  • Assist campuses with clinical experience scheduling processes that meet educational and institutional requirements for students in all nursing courses and program options.

  • Assist campuses to maintain an electronic database for the coordination and assignment of faculty as it pertains to clinical course assignments, consistent with curriculum and human resource requirements and as provided by the campus leadership.

  • Coordinate communication among various college departments and campuses regarding OAR and clinical partner deadlines.

  • Collaborate with the campus clinical team to monitor various reports provided by the Office of Academic Records and Human Resources to support the quality of clinical learning experiences college wide.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare with knowledge that includes an understanding of the educational objectives and experience of student nurses, an understanding of the clinical practice of nursing, knowledge of the diverse organizational environments in which nurses practice, and knowledge of the types of clinical sites needed to meet course content and objectives.

  • Experience: At least two (2) years of administrative support experience. Strong customer services skills.

  • Other: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Expert skills in Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word. Experience coordinating complex, cross functional workflow preferred.

  • Degree of Supervision : Minimal.
