Lockheed Martin Flight Test Control Engineer (Level 2) in NAS Pax River, Maryland

Flight Test Control Engineer (FTCE) for Navy and Marine F-35 test aircraft at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. The successful applicant will provide Flight Test Ground and Flight Operations engineering support. Duties will include coordination and execution of pre-flight and post-flight activities to ensure aircraft's test readiness. This includes issuance and closure of documentation relating to work performed on the aircraft and coordination of aircraft modification. Position is also responsible for control and tracking of aircraft configuration, coordinating and staging of support equipment, and coordinating with other organizations associated with test readiness.

The FTCE is the primary liaison between aircraft maintenance and engineering, communicating aircraft test configuration to responsible engineers and flight operations. The ability to interface with all levels of project management and effectively communicate, direct, and interact with other test team members, as well as external members to achieve mission success, is required.

Overtime, non-standard shifts, and weekend work will be required.

• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

• Must have or be able to obtain at minimum an Interim Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.

A level 2 employee Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience working in development, production or in a ground/flight test operations environment.

• Experience working with Aircraft Systems and/or Maintenance/Modification Procedures

Desired Skills:

• Secret Security Clearance

• Engineering Degree

• Schematics, Engineering documentation, reading /interpretation and their use during troubleshooting.

• Experience working with Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).

• Familiarity with JSF tools and processes including PDM, JDL, and VAS

• Self starter and logical problem solver.

• Excellent organization and communication skills

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
