The Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine clinic is now hiring for a personable and motivated Medical Assistant for our clinic located on the Nampa Medical Center campus!

Position Summary & Highlights :

• $1500 Sign On Bonus offered to external candidates!

• The Wound Healing clinic manages all types of wounds in all types of patients. Trouble healing can happen to anyone, and our physicians and providers are here to help.

• Our providers take a wide-ranging and personalized approach in planning each patient's treatment. We work with our patients to better understand any barriers to wound healing.

• Our providers focus on the treatment of underlying medical conditions, which will help our patients to heal faster and more completely.

• The clinic also specializes in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for patients who have non-healing or complex wounds and other diseases that benefit from pressurized oxygen delivery.

What Will You Do:

• You will work in a great care team environment with multiple providers, MAs, RNs, and front office staff.

• Work hands on with wound care (undressing and cleaning), measuring and photographing wounds, and applying new dressings.

• Assist with minor procedures, and work closely with the providers during appointments.

• Interact with patients on a regular basis and documentation is minimal compared to other MA roles.

• You will not perform vaccinations, injections, or much phlebotomy at this time.

• An ideal candidate would be someone who has the desire and motivation to learn, who wants to work in a strong team environment, and is highly reliable.

• You will also have a positive attitude and have empathy and caring to patients and have an interest in wound care.

Work Schedule :

This position will work 5 - 8 hour shifts, Mondays - Fridays, around the hours of 7:45am – 4:15pm.

Location :

• 4400 E. Flamingo Ave, Nampa, ID, Ste. 320 (On the Nampa Medical Center campus)

• This position will primarily work in Nampa, but may on a rare occasion cover at the Boise clinic.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

• American Medical Technologists (RMA)

• National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

• National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.

• For new MA graduates, minimum of 100 hour externship or MA work experience is required, even with MA certification.
