Description:

What you will do:

Students enrolled in a program that will be able to fulfill the following:

  • Performs all aspects of Echo testing including but not limited to Echo/with doppler, TEE, stress echo.

  • Equipment resource maintenance-displays knowledge of all equipment specific to area of testing. Basic trouble shooting skills for minor problems.

  • Facilitates the department preparation for accreditation with the ICAEL, JCAHO, AOA, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Time management-balances the demands of multiple assignments. Understands or determines priorities and orders work in such a way that results are consistently achieved on time and quality service is provided to all. Consider the volume of acceptable work accomplished and the efficient use of work time.

  • Seeks input from cardiologists and other resources to enhance technical skills.

What you need:

  • Registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as

  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)

  • OR

  • Registered by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) as

  • a. RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer)

  • OR

  • Registry eligible as per ARDMS or CCI Guidelines

  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification or completion of certification within the probationary period.

  • Demonstrates a customer service orientation with patients and family members.

  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written. Able to communicate
