A-Core Concrete Specialists Human Resources Generalist in Murray, Utah

A-Core Concrete Specialists is a growing company of people who work to do their very best every day. We have been hiring and developing many of the concrete industry's most highly skilled and safety conscious individuals for 50 years. A-Core was founded from one man's desire to make enough money to feed his family. It has now grown to 14 offices in 10 states with over 360 employees and growing.

This position is responsible for working side by side with our HR Manager to support the day-to-day Human Resources needs of the organization and each location. The Generalist will primarily handle employee onboarding and exits, data and systems entry and integrity, compliance reporting and some talent acquisition support. The Generalist will also assist the team with frontline employee support, and any other HR-related tasks as needed. This position will report directly to the HR Manager and is an onsite position in our Murray, Utah headquarters.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to staffing, maintaining employee handbook, disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for team members' inquiries and respond promptly and effectively.

  • Process all new hires and hold all new hire orientations; exit process and interviews.

  • Ensure all employee data is processed and maintained in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Keep all systems and information current and filed in digital files.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Conduct quarterly audits and summaries regarding this role.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years supporting a growing business and its employees.

  • Able to track and complete multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, HRIS and/or other applicable database programs.

  • Communicate with all employees face to face, over the phone, and in written communication.

  • Very Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail.

  • Ability to remain flexible and display a strong sense of urgency.

  • Be an innovative thinker with a “can do” mentality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR Degree or HR Generalist Experience

  • Bilingual – Spanish and English
