This company is a well-known American image sharing and social media service designed to enable saving and discovery of information (specifically "ideas") on the internet using images and, on a smaller scale, animated GIFs and videos. As a Devops Engineer, You will manage access requests and resources on AWS and policies for S3 buckets and IAM, be responsible for scaling, managing Linux infrastructure, and automation with Python.

This position is a 6 month contract with potential for extension. It is a hybrid position (2 day on-site in SF and 3 days WFH).

W-2 Only.

Qualification

• Linux troubleshooting experience

• Strong programming experience with Python or Golang. We are looking for someone with solid computer science fundamentals.

• 2+ years of experience

Job Responsibilities

• A big responsibility in this role will be scaling. You will be scaling from tens of thousands of servers to hundreds of thousands.

• Manage Linux infrastructure including deployments, operations, and troubleshooting.

• Meet SLAs and SLOs through monitoring the systems' availability and performance.

• Automation through writing Python scripts.

• On Call
