Google Senior AR Ecosystem System Engineer in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with interactions between hardware and software at the system level.

  • 2 years of experience in a professional setting with XR technology.

  • 2 years of experience coding in a general purpose coding language (e.g., Java, C or C++)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience managing technical projects in a professional setting, including business communication.

  • 2 years of experience in technical troubleshooting of compute or networking systems.

  • Knowledge of Android and the XR technology stack across all layers.

  • Knowledge of Android platform development, build, and tools.

  • Knowledge of Android or Unity app development.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$218,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Provide technical overviews and guidance to prospective OEMs and support the OEM through software compliance/certification process.

  • Drive technical project kickoffs, set OEM expectations, and triage OEM issues.

  • Evaluate and scope support for new projects identifying gaps and concerns.

  • Solve issues and manage access to OEM code, minimize issues brought up to core AR engineering.

  • Triage OEM issues and summarize OEM feedback, common issues, and provide recommendations back to the Product Management and core AR engineering team.
