DETAILS:

• Location: X's headquarters in Mountain View, CA

• Start Date(s): Year-round rolling basis

• Duration: a flexible 4 mo. to 1 year program based on project team needs and your availability

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be enrolled in an academic program and working towards completing a PhD

WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON:

• Join an early stage investigation at X to focus on one or more of these proposed project areas:

• Prototype innovative logic synthesis, technology mapping, placement and routing, timing analysis technologies for digital circuits

• Develop methodologies for performance and power-driven design of digital circuits

• Accelerate, scale, and deploy code on large distributed systems

• Learn Moonshot thinking, attending colloquium and tech talks

• Engage with the Internship community during the program

• Have fun!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently pursuing a PhD in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or similar

• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages, such as Python or C/C++.

• Depending on the responsibility, experience in one of the following

• Open-source or commercial EDA tools for physical design and performance evaluation

• Mathematical optimization

• Machine learning

• Distributed system and cloud infra

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstration of relevant skills in scientific journal publications, conference submissions, open source projects or similar.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $118,000 - $145,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
