Google Group Product Manager, Generative AI Developer Experience in Mountain View, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 10 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder, or related technical role

  • 5 years of experience building and shipping technical products.

  • Experience building and launching Developer Experience products (e.g., libraries, APIs, frameworks, interfaces)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience leading cross-product area collaboration for SaaS developer-facing products for a wide audience spanning developers and enthusiasts

  • Technical experience and expertise, enabling you to dive into architecture details and work closely with engineering and research teams

  • Experience with ML/NLU/AI and are excited by the prospect of making these technologies real and creating innovative user experiences with them

  • Execution focused and detail oriented

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Generative AI is enabling developers to build new and innovative types of products and applications never before possible. It is revolutionizing the way we create and interact with products in new and novel ways.

The Machine Learning (ML) Developer Product team is focused on enabling and accelerating this innovation through the creation of easy-to-use and powerful Google Developer APIs, tools and building blocks for third-party and first-party developers who want to take advantage of the latest technologies related to Generative AI, such as Gemini.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with Alphabet’s engineers and researchers (e.g. the Deepmind team) to bring the latest AI technologies to products that developers love.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Co-create and evolve our integrated machine learning (ML) Product strategy for developers.

  • Transform Generative AI research into production ready features and applications (including next gen models, APIs, and tools) at high velocity.

  • Communicate with team members across the full stack, from low-level modeling and serving engineering to high level UX and end-user application teams.

  • Deliver detailed roadmaps, milestones, plans, and PRDs, leveraging an understanding for markets, competition, emerging trends, and user requirements for products and features in areas with many unsolved and open-ended questions.

  • Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, legal, and UX and work collaboratively with other product areas across Google focused on Generative AI technologies to align goals and product direction and drive innovation.
