Come join Intuit's Controllership, Assurance, and Operations (CAO) Finance organization as a Principal Accountant of International Accounting, Tax Compliance, and Shared Services. We are looking for Individuals with a passion for innovation to join our team and revolutionize how the world does business.

As a key senior member of the International CAO Finance team, this position will provide oversight on key international accounting and tax functions including month-end close, annual statutory audits and external financial reporting, indirect tax, and corporate tax compliance. The role will contribute significantly to enabling international business growth by partnering cross-functionally to develop the processes and technology to support the growth of Intuit worldwide.

This position will require excellent presentation skills, the ability to communicate, and excellent listening skills. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to collaborate cross-functionally outside of finance, possess strong change management skills, and drive issues through to resolution and validation.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of international financial accounting & tax experience

  • Thorough knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and exposure to international GAAP standards

  • Experience with managing statutory financial statements & tax filing obligations through completion, including issue resolution & audit defense.

  • BS Accounting or related degree and CPA/ACA (or equivalent work experience) qualified

  • Ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and ever-changing priorities while consistently meeting tight deadlines

  • Ability to influence people and work with teams across various finance and business functional roles

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and influencing skills, including the ability to raise issues appropriately to the right level internally and externally to resolve

  • Previous exposure to a shared services environment. Experience in developing shared services is a plus

How you will lead

  • In partnership with the CAO Director, International, provide accounting and tax compliance direction and guidance to all non-US regions to ensure overall alignment and delivery of global financial objectives.

  • Partner across CAO to further develop and build a world-class shared services function

  • Drive completeness of documented controls, processes, and desktop procedures across all areas of International CAO Finance

  • Implement and maintain the required process and internal control environment, and perform control procedures to ensure subsidiaries are complying with Company policy

  • Provide strategic direction to the development and deployment of financial and reporting processes that ensure compliance with relevant International accounting standards and international rules and regulations for statutory reporting

  • Provide oversight and assist with the International monthly close process, reviewing reconciliations and monthly accounting entries to ensure monthly close objectives are achieved.

  • Serve as a key leader in International M&A due diligence and integrations by understanding and communicating the accounting and tax compliance implications of proposed transactions.

  • Work with the CAO Director and cross-functional senior leaders to identify and document resolutions to technical accounting and tax matters that arise in due course.

  • Ensure that local financial processes and procedures at the country level are operating effectively to enable accurate and timely reporting of financial results and maintenance of adequate internal controls in accordance with Intuits' financial policies and procedures.

  • Partner cross-functionally to provide accounting & tax guidance on new product launches and international expansion plans

  • Foster a culture of strong financial discipline and business integrity. Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to successful completion.

  • Build strong cross-functional working relationships to enable business growth while managing accounting and compliance risk
