Description:

Our mid-sized concrete contractor client is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to focus on their small, medium, and large concrete bid proposals. As an estimator, this person will be responsible for accurately calculating how much a project will cost taking into account the labor costs, concrete materials cost, and equipment requirements in order to win bids. They will also negotiate with suppliers to compile detailed cost proposals for clients.

-Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project

-Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product

-Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service

-Creating labor estimates for any project

-Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors

-Managing bids from vendors and contractors

-Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis

-Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders

-Compiling and recording actual costs

Qualifications:

-3 years as an Estimator in any of the commercial and/or industrial construction industries

-Prior experience using construction management software to compile bids and intel

-Show ability to read a blueprint from their industry knowledge experience and explain what that means to their process of estimating

-Specific commercial/industrial concrete estimating experience
