This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Junior Due Diligence Specialist for our Morristown, NJ office. The following locations will also be considered: Newark, New Jersey. Be involved in projects with our Earth & Environment Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Review and interpret historical documents and reports, preparing planning documents, reducing and interpreting data, and preparing technical reports.

  • Field activities may include site reconnaissance, sampling of various environmental media (soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air), oversight of soil borings and monitoring well installations, oversight of remedial construction, and other related tasks.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • BS Environmental Science or similar

  • 1-3 years in in environmental assessments/environmental investigations

  • ASTM E1527-13 or ASTM E1527-21 Phase I ESA experience;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the areas of contaminated site assessments, investigations and remedial actions;

  • Field investigations in NY/NJ Metro area

  • Familiarity with NYSDEC DER-10;

  • Familiarity with NJDEP Tech Regs

  • OSHA 10-hour Construction Industry training

  • Should have own means of transportation; and be able to travel around the NY/NJ Metro area;

  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training, DOT training, CPR and First Aid training

  • Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator / Fit for Duty Exam / Medical Exam.

  • This role is subject to a client-mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random

  • drug/alcohol tests. A copy of this policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon

  • applicant request.
