Your Impact

The Quality Assurance Administrator is responsible for maintaining and organizing manufacturing confirmation samples, documenting inspection results, processing customer return packages with manufacturing defects, and managing a database of defects for reporting purposes. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to AQL inspection requirements, and effective communication with internal stakeholders. By undergoing training in inspections and developing expertise in footwear defect classification, the Quality Assurance Administrator ensures that our products meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Document all inspection results using the company's Deckers Manufacturing Application and Excel-based reports, categorizing them based on pass/fail criteria, manufacturing defects, and failed inspection results.
  • Maintain and file manufacturing confirmation samples between two buildings, US6 and US8.
  • Process all customer return packages containing manufacturing defects to facilitate chargebacks to the factories responsible for those defects.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive database of defects to generate monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports.
  • Identify and adhere to all AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) inspection requirements.
  • Audit documentation to ensure compliance with process standards; escalate issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Develop expertise in classifying defects specific to footwear inspection.

Who You Are

  • Highly motivated, a team player and motivated self-starter
  • Demonstrate high levels of dependability.
  • 2-3 years warehouse experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Willingness to undergo training and continuous learning to stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  • Proficient in core computer skills, MS Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as production specifications, instruction sheets, production charts and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret charts.
