DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Michael Baker International's Great Lakes Region Aviation Practice seeks a Regional Practice Lead. We are flexible on the work location! We are looking for a leader who will collaborate with their counterparts in our other regional offices to provide high quality engineering, architecture, environmental, and planning services. You will be directly involved with development and implementation of a business strategy and work with and overseeing multi-disciplinary project teams, while also helping to win work and expand our project portfolio and client base.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES  * Responsible for active coordination with Great Lakes Regional Director (RD), Office Executives (OEs) and Regional Practice Leads (RPLs) to ensure that technical capabilities and processes align and support quality standards for the delivery of services.  * Leads the development of capabilities to enable Practice and/or Market growth throughout the Region and identify the additional capabilities to support new markets and new clients. Actively coordinates with and supports the RD, OEs, and Aviation groups within the Region.  * Partners with Office Executives to infuse and grow national and regional capabilities into the local office.  * Assists RD(s) and OE(s) in the pursuit of new business opportunities that require national and/or regional technical capabilities to be focused in support of the local office pursuit. This includes active client engagement and leading major pursuits as Project Manager.  * Support Market Leads in the development of strategic pursuits within the national portfolio.  * Accountable for metrics.  * Facilitates coordination of practice/market resources within the region.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS  * Minimum of 15 years of aviation experience, both Landside and Airside.  * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. A technical degree is preferred.  * Technical excellence with the development of major aviation proposals and pursuits; strong written and verbal skills are required.  * Demonstrated experience with multiple project delivery methods  * Demonstrated relationships/experience working with Aviation clients.  * Demonstrated business development experience with Aviation clients.  * Experience working with both commercial and general aviation clients.  * Knowledge of financial aspects of the engineering business  * Attract and recruit high-end talent to the organization.  * Ability/willingness to travel.  * Ability to facilitate/create training via regular internal webinars/engagements as well as coach and prepare the internal team to present to potential clients  * Significant experience with aviation industry organizations.  * Provide Project Management for key client projects and large design teams led by the Aviation discipline  * Work closely with Sales Leads to track and support opportunities for key markets  * Strong abilities to initiate and maintain relationships with clients  * Work with clients and Project Principals to develop and negotiate budgets, schedules, and contracts.  * Previous experience leading projects and teams on complex projects and/or airport design and construction projects.

COMPENSATION The approximate compensation range for this position is $149,547 to $233,564. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
