Robert Half Financial Aid Analyst/Specialist in Monroe, Michigan

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Financial Aid Analyst/Specialist in Monroe, Michigan. This role primarily focuses on coordinating and managing all aspects of financial services and grants, including application, execution, and tracking. It also involves processing accounts receivable for students. This position is in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage all stages of the grant process, from application to reporting on grant usage and status.

• Monitor grant expenditure to ensure compliance with funder's regulations and guidelines, organizing and maintaining all grant-related documents.

• Liaise with various departments to gather information needed for grant applications.

• Process and monitor accounts receivable for students, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

• Provide data and input for financial reports as required.

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.

• Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed financial reports and statements.

• Maintain strict confidentiality in performing the duties of finance and grant management.

• Utilize skills in FAFSA, Funds, Grant Administration, Grant Management, Foundation Grants, Accounts Receivable (AR) to perform duties.

• Ensure all tasks are performed with high attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Requirements • Proficiency in FAFSA procedures and policies

• Knowledge and experience in funds allocation and management

• Expertise in grant administration, including application, disbursement, and monitoring

• Skill in grant management, including compliance with grant requirements

• Experience with foundation grants, including application and reporting processes

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role within the education sector would be advantageous.
