Speech Language Pathologist - PRN

Location: Saint Joseph PACE

Status: PRN

Shift: Monday – Friday, Days

Position Purpose:

The primary purpose of your job position is to be responsible for the evaluation and treatment of participants who demonstrate disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing.

Position Details:

This position will be housed at Saint Joseph PACE.

What you will do:

  • Evaluation and treatment of participants who demonstrate disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing. Evaluation and treatment will only be conducted after approval by the Interdisciplinary Team.

  • Responsible for the completion of all necessary documentation in TruChart and other required forms as designated by the Center Manager/Director.

  • Develop programs appropriate to the needs of the participants in the PACE Organization to assist them in achieving their highest feasible level of functioning.

  • Recommend safe swallowing precautions to participants.

  • Recommend diet according to participant needs.

  • Follow all appropriate PACE Organization infection control policies and procedures and will respect and follow

  • Participant Rights Guidelines.

  • Responsible for the appropriate scheduling of participants on caseload.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Speech Language Pathology, Speech and Hearing Sciences or Communication Disorders as normally obtained through a Master's Degree and

  • Current, unencumbered, active license in the state of the PACE Organization or proof of registration to complete the Clinical Fellowship year in Speech Pathology after which certification can be obtained.

  • ASHA & CPR Certification
