Sherwin-Williams Co. Sr Financial Analyst - Global Procurement in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Sr Financial Analyst position is accountable for providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis supporting a global procurement team with $7B of direct spend for Sherwin-Williams in coordination with both the domestic and international teams. The primary focus areas of the position relate to the following: Position Responsibilities: The Sr Financial Analyst position is accountable for providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis supporting a global procurement team with $7B of direct spend for Sherwin-Williams in coordination with both the domestic and international teams. The primary focus areas of the position relate to the following: Raw Material price forecasting and scenario modeling Raw Material price and rebate management Cost Savings analysis and reporting Support global admin budgeting and reporting This position will manage, analyze, and report on the overall SHW global raw material price index as well as work closely with category and financial management to incorporate and refine various scenario cost models. The output provided will be used both internally to support procurement strategy and track performance but also to provide enterprise finance with accurate and timely inputs for financial forecasting. There will also be routine as well as ad hoc analysis and reporting related to supplier and raw material price movements and rebate achievements and collections and other procurement finance related aspects. Finally this position provides financial validations to ensure that the function is able to financially recognize the impacts of the many continuous improvement efforts as well as financial reviews, validations of many cost, and their financial impacts will also be a routine process for this role. Major tasks: Prepares information and presentations as needed by Corporate, Division, Sales, and Marketing management. Generates, analyzes, and publishes various monthly global Forecast Index Models to monitor and forecast raw material and packaging cost changes. Prepare, review and analyze financial forecasts in comparison to prior forecasts, budget plan and prior year results to present to management trends, performance to goals, gap analyses and consolidated risks and opportunities analyses. Facilitate and drive process improvement with respect to the raw material forecast process, reporting and analysis Assist in resolving financial, accounting or credit department matters with other regions, departments, locations and divisions, Keeps manager informed of work problems and progress. Maintains detailed and accurate records. Assumes responsibility for the completion of assigned duties. Exhibits a high degree of organizational skills Collaborative in supporting multiple customers both internal and external to the function. Exercises good judgment and initiative. Able to accomplish assigned work with little supervision Position Requirements: Education Required: BS/BA in Business, supply chain, or related area Preferred: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance Experience Required: 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, procurement, chemistry, or related fields Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis and/or reporting, accounting Experience working in or with the procurement or supply chain functions Experience in the chemical industry Exposure to or experience working with month-end financial analysis and preparing reports and presentations for upper level management Technical/Skill Required: Proficiency with MS Excel & Powerpoint Strong data analytics skills Strong organizational skills Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
