Job ID360064 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilyAdministration-General Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code8208A1 Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job Infectious Disease Education Program Administrator - 8208A1 The Infectious Disease Education Program Administrator will provide direction, leadership, and day-to-day management of educational programs in the Infectious Disease & International Medicine division of the Department of Medicine, as well as providing administrative support for the BRIIDGE Preparation for Residency program. This includes administration of education programs by providing education coordination between attending physicians/providers, fellows, hospital/clinical sites, institutional and regulatory administrative offices. Ideal candidates will have experience in graduate medical education program management, or a willingness to learn, and motivation to become an integral part of the leadership team. A successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in applying detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions, and underlying management structure of accrediting organizations, the Department of Medicine, and the larger institution in organizing and independently prioritizing work, establishing procedures and systems, and ensuring orderly and timely workflow. They are comfortable in a fast-paced working environment managing multiple priorities. This position is a hybrid position, with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 days per week, and for periodic additional events and meetings. Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience Major Areas of Responsibility Infectious Disease Fellowship Program Administrator (70%) Oversree the day-to-day implementation, support and documentation of all administrative aspects of the fellowship program. Ensure program's compliance with governing bodies including: Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, University of Minnesota Medical School's Office of Graduate Medical Education (OGME), Metro Minnesota Council on Graduate Medical Education (MMCGME), and own program. Responsible for effective use of program management tools including the Residency Management Suite (RMS), Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), Tableau and Smartsheets. Participate in the recruitment, evaluation, and selection of fellowship candidates, such as managing recruitment events and developing recruitment materials and presentations. As part of the program leadership team, develop, schedule and support the delivery of didactics including Citywide ID Clinical Case Conference, core curriculum, orientation/boot camp, in training exam, global health curriculum, IDSA curriculum, ID Week, ID Fellows Forum, etc. Develop, implement, and maintain a compelling web/social media presence. Serve as liaison between the program and all internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with GME and UMN policies related to Infectious Disease fellows appointed to the T32 NIH training grant. Partner with division and department staff to facilitate transitions on and off of the T32. Engage in professional development activities that enhance skills and knowledge relevant to administering the fellowship program. ID Learners Rotation Administrator for IDIM (10%) Receive schedules from residency training programs (IMed, MedPeds, Med Derm, OMFS, FamMed) and coordinate rotating residents with the University and other sites (Hennepin, Mpls-VA, Duluth, Regions) working closely with University and affiliate leadership. Coordinate schedules for University inpatient resident rotations and serve as programmatic contact in all areas, including sharing learner schedules to residency programs so they may schedule evaluations as needed. Responsible for effective management of Canvas site for elective ID clerkship. Use MedI to download clerkship rosters from UME and notify affiliate sites in timely fashion of their rosters and serve as a resource for process questions. Schedule all clerkship evaluations as directed by UME and clerkship director and various site clerkship education directors. Coordinate with University ID faculty and ID fellows the scheduling of UME MS1 & MS2 students wanting to shadow or gain greater knowledge about ID. Manage requests and logistics for other learner types requesting educational experiences with UMN Infectious Disease. Transplant Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program Administrator (7%) Oversees the day-to-day implementation, support and documentation of all administrative aspects of the fellowship program. Participates in the recruitment of fellowship candidates by scheduling interviews and collating recruitment materials and presentations, evaluations, and offer letters. Assists program director with online/social media materials. With program director reviews and maintains annual didactic curriculum (including off-site conferences) and block schedule. Onboards fellow or collaborates with the IDIM to onboard instructor/fellow. Serves as liaison between the program and all internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with UMN policies and training standards of the American Society of Transplantation (AST). BRIIDGE Preparation for Residency Program Administrator (10%) Provide administrative support to program leadership and program trainees including meeting management, evaluations, rotation management, and other logistical support. Administratively support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and graduation activities. Special projects (3%) Partners with program and education leadership in implementing new initiatives & supporting education team function.
