We are looking for someone to fill our Housekeeping Lead position which is located at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN. Home of the MN Timberwolves and MN Lynx.

SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Leads are responsible for leading crews/teams that are performing housekeeping duties in all areas of the Target Center during Pre-Event, Event, Post Event, all Ancillary and Detail Day Events to maintain a clean and safe facility for our employees and guests. The incumbent is also responsible for training, delegating, and monitoring task lists for housekeeping attendants.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend briefing to receive all pertinent information regarding the event.

  • Assist in signing in and out 3rd party cleaners along with signing out and in uniform shirts and radios.

  • Pass out and collect all cleaning and disinfecting sheets from attendants after the event, put in order and give to Housekeeping Manager.

  • Notify Housekeeping Manager of any immediate staffing concerns.

  • Assist in assigning positions and breaks at start of each shift.

  • Lead teams assigned to clean areas in and around the Target Center ensuring they are trained on Target Center’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure cleaning responsibilities are met to include all areas ceiling to floor.

  • Respond to emergency housekeeping calls to insure they were completed and properly done.

  • Prepare and inspect the facility before and after each shift-making sure all equipment is returned to where it belongs, closets are clean and stocked, lights turned off, carts are stocked, cleaned, and disinfected and ready for the next event, all machines including (vacuums, walk-behinds, riding scrubber) are emptied and cleaned and charging if needed so they are ready for the next shift or event.

  • Maintain open communication at all time with Housekeeping attendants and Manager ensuring awareness of all current activity or issue which may require immediate attention.

  • Report any concerns or issues immediately to the Housekeeping Manager that may be a safety concern or hazard.

  • Report any concern regarding an employee or 3rd party company employee.

  • Work closely with other Leads during event or shift to make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • Assist with New hire training and quarterly staff training sessions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.

  • Must have full understanding of ALL Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) which includes PPE, Donning and Doffing, Emergency Disinfecting Scenario, General Cleaning Surfaces, Restroom Cleaning and Disinfecting, Locker Rooms, Touch Point Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Laundry.

  • Must have full understanding of all chemicals that are used, when they should be used and knowledge of dwell times

  • Must be people oriented, a team builder and team player. Must have ability to relate professionally at all levels of staff, guests, clients, and VIP’s.

  • Must be able to work with others in a group or team and independently.

  • Must be able to operate various cleaning equipment.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance.

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS

  • Frequent walking including stairs, escalators, carpet, and cement.

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.

  • Ability to navigate around large crowds quickly when receiving emergency calls.
