We partner with each patient to address their unique needs in order to provide relationship-based care. Our patient population includes: CHF, COPD, PNA, ESRD, DM, AMS, Cirrhosis, Pancreatitis, and much more. Every day on 8NT is different as our patient population changes, but our staff unites together daily to encourage high-quality care. As an organization, Froedtert offers at least 9 weeks of orientation with a dedicated preceptor and positive mentoring in a hands-on learning environment. Froedtert is unique in that there is no mandatory over-time. Frequently utilized skills include: Foley insertions, wound cares, PEG tube medications, PCA pump, trach cares/suctioning, IV/central line medications, and chest tube maintenance.
