• Schedule: PRN Rotating - 5 shifts per 6 week schedule including 1 weekend shift. One holiday required per year.

Responsibilities

Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

• Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care.

• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.

• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications and treatment based on patient outcomes.

• Respond to emergency resuscitation team calls.

• Educate the patient and family about the patient's health condition and provide information about community support groups and other resources.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• One or more of the following required:

• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Certified Respiratory Therapist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Associate's degree in Respiratory or RRT required.

Additional Preferences

• 2 years critical care experience preferred

• Arterial line and intubation competence preferred

• Candidates willing to train in placement of advanced lines (ie arterial, mid-line /PICC) insertions preferred
