Manufacturing Lab Technician Job Locations US-WA-Bothell ID 2024-16428 Job Function Operations/Production Overview The Manufacturing Lab Technician is responsible for supporting the production of reagents used in various NanoString Analysis Systems, for example, nCounter and GeoMx. The role requires learning and performing both manual and automated production processes for the manufacturing of raw, intermediate, and final reagents needed for the multiplexed detection and the quantification of many different types of target molecules from biological samples. In this role, the Lab Tech will learn the skills to operate semi-automated and automated scientific equipment, perform Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), navigate Document Control systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, etc. Manufacturing Lab Technicians will comply with professional policies and practices to work safely and resolve routine issues Responsibilities Requirements: A 2-year associates degree in a scientific discipline or industry relevant certificate program that includes coursework in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology and/or other life science areas of study. Previous exposure in a lab environment, including handling non- to low-hazard chemicals, e.g., ethanol, acetone, etc. Analytical, organizational, documentation, and communications skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to lift and carry 20-25 lbs., including freezer/refrigerator racks Qualifications Essential Responsibilities: Follow detailed work instructions according to process, product, and Quality System requirements. Accurately complete batch records following Good Documentation Practices Work both independently and in a team environment. Perform incoming quality controls (QC) on raw materials. Prepare raw materials for inclusion in finished products. Manufacture reagents critical to various nCounter and GeoMx assays and internal processes. Manufacture intermediate and finished products. Preferred Requirements: Experience using a micropipet Good manual dexterity to work in a molecular biology laboratory environment, such as working with small volumes and loading gels. Ability to collect and record data in laboratory notebook. High emphasis on legible, complete, and correct data recording. Dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and willing to perform both routine tasks and learn new skills. Excellent written & oral communication skills (in person and on the phone) and technical ability. Proficient in working with computers (including Microsoft Excel and Word) and analytical equipment. Awareness of biological materials such as DNA, RNA, and Proteins. At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $36,000 and $53,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
