This position will shadow the Registered Nurse in Urgent Care. This position will follow the requirements of their school’s clinical rotation and complete any projects as assigned.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS :

Under supervision of the UC RN:

• Assessment/triage of walk in clients

• Observation of injections

• Assist with obtaining medical records

• Obtain vital signs

  ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:

• Support the UC team/providers as needed

• Additional assignments may be determined at a later day

  QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES :

• Registered Nurse in the state of NY with an active license

• Strong organization skills with accurate attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi- task

• Able to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment

• Sufficient skills to communicate effectively with the team to coordinate needs of the individual seeking services

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Active RN license in NY State

  PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS :

• Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time

• Able to work in open space floor plan

• Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet

• Must be able to move in tight spaces
