The University of Miami UHealth Tower has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Educator.

The Nurse Educator p rovides education and resources to enhance patient care. Assists staff with educationa l needs, problem resolution, time management, and critical thinking skill s development . Collaborates with medical providers, patient care staff, and unit management in the planning, implementation, and delivery of educational curricula. Implement s clinical skills activities within established cl inical and preceptorship models, m onitors data trends, and implements educational strategies to ensure compliance with quality standards . Provides staff support in the d evelop ment of patient care plans, incorporating evidenced - based r esearch and national standards. C onsults with and serves as a clinical resource for unit management to ensure quality patient care. Educates technical and patient care staff in the use of new equipment, s upplies, and instruments, and coordinates in - service training and workshops.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

Certifications:

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certificates required.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Basic EKG Proficiency required.

Inpatient oncology experience preferred.

Current ONS Provider certificate preferred.

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency preferred.
