Hiring a Histotechnician in the Miami, FL area!

Job Description

You will perform routine and special paraffin histotechnology duties under the supervision of a Lead Histotechnologist. Your role ensures the provision of high-quality diagnostic material within established turnaround times. Responsibilities include:

• Accurate gross description on tissue samples

• Performing quality control procedures

• Operating all instruments/equipment according to accepted procedures

• Meeting turnaround time and productivity standards

• Assisting in problem resolution

• Recording, transcribing and maintaining patient test results

• Completing routine and STAT testing within set guidelines

Hard Skills

• Microtomy

• Embedding

• Cutting

• Skills in microtomy, grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, and routine special staining techniques

• Associate degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related life science

• Formal training in Histology (720 hours)

• State Licensure (CA, FL, NY require licensing)
