AutoZone is seeking an Associate Systems Engineer to join our Store Dev Ops team. This position offers an opportunity to develop, maintain, and help support applications across our store development ecosystem consisting of a range of applications from legacy green screens to C/C++ services to React based web applications. This position requires a willingness to learn, a desire to problem solve, and courage to deep dive into existing legacy code with languages you may be unfamiliar with.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development teams to troubleshoot, help support and continuously improve products

• Work to acquire domain knowledge through building relationships and learning from peers

• Grow technical skills by helping research and resolve application issues

• Engage in planning and refinement ceremonies to better understand problem statements

• Participate in the full development lifecycle including debug, design, code, test, and monitoring changes

Requirements

• Requires one to two years of experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities

• Experience implementing systems using any of the following:

• C/C++ (Qt), Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, or React.js

• Problem solving and analytical skills

• Must be a team player with interpersonal and communication skills

• Ideally be adaptable with a strong work ethic and a desire and passion for learning

Nice To Have

• Experience with scripting (Shell, Python etc.) and an understanding of Unix/Linux

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, Computer Engineering, or closely related required
