What you’ll do:

• Performs advanced, non-invasive cardiac ultrasound procedures on patients in a variety of age-specific populations, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease. These exams are performed in accordance with the guidelines and standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiographic Laboratories (ICAEL).

What you’ll need for this job:

• High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

• Associate degree preferred (graduate of accredited Echocardiography program)

• 6 months – 1 year of previous job-related experience (may be via clinical internship); preferred: 1 – 2 years of previous job-related experience

• CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

• Eligibility* for: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) / Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) via CCI OR Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) via CCI
