Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced PHP Laravel Developer to support a large Healthcare client. This developer will contribute to the maintenance, support, and enhancement of a business-critical application. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in PHP and Laravel, coupled with the ability to understand and document legacy code effectively. This role is crucial as it involves preparing for a future application modernization by providing a detailed understanding of the existing system. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for identifying and addressing technical debt, ensuring the system's long-term health and efficiency.

Responsibilities

* Maintain and enhance web applications developed in Laravel and PHP, ensuring high functionality and responsiveness.

* Provide robust operational support for the application, troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize downtime.

* Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to implement new features and integrate user-facing elements using Vue.js and Bootstrap.

* Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability, and security.

* Manage and configure the server environment.

* Administer databases and ensure efficient performance and security compliance.

* Contribute to the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding, debugging, and testing.

* Document all operational, maintenance, and upgrade procedures.

Skills and Requirements

* In-depth knowledge of PHP and Laravel.

* Proficient in MySQL database management and performance optimization.

* Experienced with Nginx server setup and maintenance.

* Understanding of Vue.js and Bootstrap for integrating user interfaces.

* Knowledge of best practices in application security, especially in a cloud environment.

*  Experience working with PHP, performing unit testing, and managing APIs such as REST.

* A solid understanding of application design using Laravel.

* Knowledge of database design and querying using SQL.

* Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

* Practical experience using the MVC architecture.

* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other developers.

* Experience CI/CD development model leveraging Bit Bucket, Az Devops or similar tools.

* Understanding of Agile methodologies. * .Net Development experience and Azure experience is a plus null
