About the Position: Serves as a technical expert in relating to logistics data management, supply, inventory, systems management, and accountability functions. Responsibilities Enter various data elements into multiple databases and programs. Prepare hand receipts for equipment issued or turned in. Perform research for information pertaining to complex or unusual supply transaction and patterns. Receive and collect data forms to track utilization of all supplies. Identify discrepancies, resolve problems and reconstruct records to support supply transaction. Prepare reports reflecting findings and corrective actions regarding loss, damage or destruction of property. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Experience interpreting and applying supply regulations, policies, procedures, instruction, concepts and methodologies pertaining to a supply program; Experience researching files and databases to identify problem areas and correct data errors in the automated supply system; Experience using an automated supply system to manage property book items; and Experience compiling and analyzing supply information and data. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Literacy Supply Inventory Management Supply Support Technical Data Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-?06). Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 6 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into a term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
