The Visitor Control Liaison plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of infant security systems and adherence to visitor policies within the patient service area. This position entails monitoring the infant security system, implementing associated policies, and maintaining a clean and secure environment, including neonatal beds.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication:

  • Engage in effective communication with patients and/or their families while upholding security guidelines.

  • Demonstrate competency in handling visitor conflicts and concerns while maintaining strict confidentiality of patient and departmental information.

Medical Records:

  • Prepare new patient charts for admissions and manage completed records and patient-specific materials post-discharge.

Infant and Patient Security:

  • Participate in unit-specific security and safety activities.

  • Ensure accurate maintenance of computer census, promptly respond to security alarms, and monitor traffic flow.

Unit-Specific Activities:

  • Maintain accurate unit-specific logs and assist with tasks assigned by unit managers or charge nurses.

This role demands a keen eye for detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and confidential environment for patients and their families.

SHIFT: 7:00pm - 7:30am

Minimum Education:

Required: High School Diploma
