The Loyola University Medical Center Kidney Transplant Program is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to provide for the general medical care of kidney transplant candidates and recipients in both their pre-transplant and post-transplant phases.

Practice Details:

  • Inpatient consult service including co-management of patients and participating in multi-disciplinary rounds with the transplant surgery service, consultations for the management of kidney transplant patients on surgical or medicine services, and management of acute kidney injury in other solid organ transplant recipients.

  • Outpatient duties include pre-transplant evaluations of kidney transplant candidates and post-transplant care of kidney and multi-organ transplant recipients, results review, immunosuppression management, designing a personalized treatment plan, attend patient selection listing meetings, and various patient education opportunities.

  • Multidisciplinary team with full support from dedicated transplant surgeons, nephrologists, pharmacists, nurse coordinators, and dieticians, financial coordinators, and social workers.

The Advanced Practice Provider ensures that care meets or exceeds standards, adheres to regulations, and aligns with Loyola University Medical Center's mission. Professionalism, including research, education, and leadership, is expected in this role.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education: Required: Master's Degree

Minimum Experience:

Required: At least 1 year of inpatient APP experience preferred

Licensure/Certifications: Required:

BLS

Current Registered Nurse License State of Illinois,

Nurse Practitioner License State of Illinois
