JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Trainer coaches/trains new hourly Team Members to meet goals related to workplace safety, food safety/quality, and production requirements. The Production Trainer will be required to achieve department and facility objectives; and must be able to direct, train, coach, and counsel other hourly Team Members in accordance with company policy and procedure. The Production Trainer will implement all training and retention programs at the plant level and is reporting to the Training Supervisor. Responsible for informing and driving company work rules, GMP’s, and policies including the effective recommendation of the correction for employees under their direction.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES :

1. Conducts training courses and On - the - Job Training for new hire employees .

  1. Assist in conducting New Hire Orientation, Production and Safety Training.

  2. Assist plant supervision with on- the- job training for new and current employeesin accordance with plant SOP’s.

  3. Roll out all retention initiatives at the plant including monitoring all new hires performance during the first 45 days.

  4. Maintain highest levels of confidentiality.

  5. Supports team members by maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.

  6. Required to meet daily with all newly hired employees.

  7. Ensure proper methods are followed for production and safety aspects.

  8. Maintains an engaged and collaborative work force.

2. Provides high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues .

  1. Answers routine questions and inquires that require knowledge of established departmental procedures and familiarity with operations and programs within human resources.

  2. Needs a complete understanding of plant SOP’s and training methods for production operations.

3. Offers proactive retention support.

  1. Maintains ongoing relationships with employees to ensure that they are welcomed and add value within our company.

4. Responsible for documentation and administering of operational training programs.

  1. Maintains confidentiality of both current and former employees and their records.

  2. Maintains training personnel files and training database; compiles reports from training database.

5. May a ssume other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

ACTIVITIES:

Highly active position, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and climbing.

HEARING:

Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Depending on the work assignment must be able to work in a noisy work environment.

REPETITIVE MOTION:

Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists, hands, and or fingers.

VISUAL ABILITIES:

Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH:

Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day.

Ability to stand 8-12 hours per day, on cold wet concrete floors.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Temperatures are frequently below freezing, and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
