Trinity Health Clinic Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) - Women's Health Center - Full Time in Mason City, Iowa

Position Purpose:

Clinic Nurse is a professional nursing position that provides quality patient care and is a patient advocate.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education [formal]:

  • Graduate of a school of nursing is required

  • A current Iowa License as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse is required

Experience:

  • Six months previous ambulatory care experience is preferred

  • Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred

Special Skills and Competencies:

  • Communication skills with the ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Flexibility and adaptability

  • Functions as a patient advocate

  • Typing speed of 35 words per minute (verified by testing) preferred

Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA)

Position Purpose:

The Certified Medical Assistant accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care. The Certified Medical Assistant provides support to the providers and other clinical staff by assisting with various medical and clerical activities to assure quality care and a more efficient work place.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education [formal]:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Graduate of an approved school for medical assistants.

  • Certification as a medical assistant is required.

  • Recommend/prefer medical assistant oncology certification within 2 years of employment.

Experience:

  • Prefer six months work experience in a health care facility performing duties relating to patient care.

  • Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred.

  • Prefer oncology experience.

Special Skills and Competencies:

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision and possess the ability to work under pressure due to fluctuating workloads.

  • Ability to work as a team.
