This hourly role follows the Scotts/Hawthorne step pay progression scale and typically starts at $25.15 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. We are looking for an Inventory/Rail Specialist who will grow at our Marysville Manufacturing Plant in Marysville, Ohio. The Inventory Specialist is responsible for all aspects of their position as well as working with other departments to promote a safe, productive environment as it pertains to the Manufacturing Plant. This individual should be self-motivated and be responsible for their results. The Inventory Specialist will put in orders, create seed labels, enter good recipes, perform daily inventory counts. They will coordinate the production schedule with the inventory located at third party warehouse to ensure we have the seed here on time. Prepares all necessary paperwork and export documentation. Works closely with the department group leader, and operations team to ensure we have the seed and seed labels on hand to fulfill the production schedule. What you'll do in this role: * Ensure all inbound raw materials are received in. * Ensure inventory is updated daily, and accurate * Prepares all necessary paperwork as it relates to creating orders; specifically, i.e., BOL, picking tickets, master BOL, export documents. * Works with third party warehouses and transportation to ensure all orders are shipped on a timely basis * Create Seed labels * Abided by operating SOP's/procedures * Report any raw material shortages, or issues to the Inventory Group Leader * Ensure a safe and organized work area * Communicate daily to Operations, Group leader, and Planning * Utilize SAP to monitor inventory and quality; make adjustments when required * Work with onsite third-party railcar moving company, where applicable * Familiarity with railway infrastructure to provide support as required * All other duties as required What you'll need to be successful: * High School Diploma or Equivalent * Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required * 5+ years of Inventory management experience, or manufacturing experience * Strong attention to details * Ability to work well with other associates (teamwork) * Ability to work independently, handle adverse situations and problem solve * Effective communication and time management skills * Strong administrative and planning skills * Maintain high standard of confidentiality and integrity * Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule/hours including overtime and weekends. * High understanding of inventory control. * Position entails prolonged and repetitive motion of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, climbing, reaching overhead and arms/hands dexterity * Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
