Job Description:

The Compensation Manager partners with the Director of Compensation & Benefits as a key resource for the compensation programs of Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS). Will lead or assist in creating compelling compensation programs, tools and analyses to enable leaders to hire and retain exceptional talent. Monitors and audits internal pay equity. Manages the job description development process. Supervises compensation staff. Serves as project lead for comprehensive compensation review and analysis.

This position is primarily remote, but with the expectation to come onsite if needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.

Preferred/Optional: None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required: Five years’ experience in the analysis, design and/or administration of compensation programs. Working knowledge of government laws and compliance relating to wage and hour programs. Demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with HRIS programs.

Preferred/Optional: Previous management or leadership experience. Previous experience in a hospital/healthcare environment. Familiarity with Workday HRIS software.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: None

Preferred/Optional: Certified Compensation Profession (CCP) designation obtained through WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals.
