Description We are in search of a meticulous Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in MARSHALL, Michigan. In this role, you will be accountable for the daily billing of claims to third-party payers, ensuring timely and appropriate processing and payment. The role also entails maintaining a comprehensive and clear history of each account, reviewing and addressing denials, mail returns, rejections, and requests for additional information. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently process billing daily, ensuring correctness and completeness prior to submission

• Maintain a clear, concise, and complete history on each account following established procedures

• Review and work on denials, mail, returns, rejections, and requests for additional information accurately and promptly

• Understand and perform follow-up processes for accounts on a daily basis and work accounts according to established procedures

• Utilize knowledge of third-party billing and claims processing to ensure efficiency

• Employ medical terminology knowledge in the daily execution of tasks

• Use accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel to manage billing functions and claim administration

• Leverage experience with Medicaid billing, medical insurance billing, healthcare billing, and medical claims in daily operations

• Foster internal communications to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrated experience with Billing Functions

• Familiarity with Claim Administration processes

• Experience with Medicaid Billing

• Understanding of Medical Terminology

• Proven experience with Medical Insurance Billing

• Knowledge of HealthCare Billing procedures

• Experience in Medical Billing and Medical Claims handling

• Strong Internal Communications skills
