Position Summary:

Provides diagnostic polysomnographic testing and treatment according to established standards and practices and maintains equipment and supplies for the Sleep Laboratory.

Reports to: Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides non-invasive treatment in conjunction with PSG as ordered by Physician. Drag Edit Delete

Performs standard and complex PSG recordings and scoring as ordered by Physician. Drag Edit Delete

Arranges for treatment through other local homecare suppliers. Drag Edit Delete

Abstracts relevant information from the patient’s clinical record and obtains additional information from the patient or caregiver if necessary. Drag Edit Delete

Follows patients after testing to determine if appropriate understanding of testing results and to answer questions regarding treatment as needed. Drag Edit Delete

Sets up home sleep testing equipment and provides training for patients

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent Graduated from accredited CAAHEP program (Preferred) *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) Drag Edit Delete

Minimum Work Experience 1 year in patient care setting (Preferred)
