Position Summary:

Coordinates all financial aspects of the patient’s hospitalization and/or office visits.

Reports to: Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Interprets and explains to patients and their families charges, services and hospital policy regarding payment of bills. Drag Edit Delete

Bills third parties in accordance with standard procedures. Drag Edit Delete

Accurately maintains departmental records, reports, and files. Drag Edit Delete

Provides information to patients/families in a manner that considers safety, comfort, privacy and therapeutic environment. Drag Edit Delete

Maintains a strict sense of accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent *Years of relevant experience may be substituted for required education. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Drag Edit Delete

Minimum Work Experience 1 year related experience 3 years in hospital/ physician setting (Preferred) Formal training in CPT and/ or ICD10 coding (Preferred)
