Position Summary:

Performs radiographic, invasive diagnostic, and interventional department procedures.

Reports to: Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. Enter new data as needed. Drag Edit Delete

Monitors heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Reports any changes to the appropriate person. Drag Edit Delete

Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment. Drag Edit Delete

Assists cardiologist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Drag Edit Delete

Administers medications to patients under the supervision of attending physicians.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Paramedicine, Licensed Practical Nurse or equivalent academic program and experience.) Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) Licensure or Certification in degree field within 90 days of hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (within 1 year hire/transfer) Non-Radiologic Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 18 months of hire Drag Edit Delete
