Well Service Mechanic B – WL (Wireline)

Summary of Duties

Support the safe and proficient operation of well service wireline / logging truck.

  • As Well Service Mechanic B-WL, the mechanic will support the primary operator, ensuring safe operation during implementation and execution of the gas well evaluation / rehabilitation procedures while gaining operational experience and proficiency.

  • Operations: The Well Service Mechanic B-WL will support and all operations of the wireline / logging truck and supporting equipment, ensuring that all work is performed per the scope of the operational procedure and in accordance with API / OSHA / MIOSHA regulations, recommended practices, and standards. All activities will be performed in a safe and proficient manner.

  • Equipment: The Well Service Mechanic B will support the primary operator, ensuring that that all critical components and supporting equipment pass inspection in accordance with API / OSHA / MIOSHA regulations, recommended practices and standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of all applicable well control methods and techniques.

  2. Experienced in supporting the safe operation of wireline /logging truck.

  3. General knowledge of subsurface electronic data logging technologies and methods, including; Pressure & temperature / Casing collar locator/ Spinner / acoustic / video.

  4. IADC Well Cap well control certification or equivalent (required)

  5. CDL (required)

General knowledge in various wireline / logging operations, including: experience and proficiency in various types of wireline operations, including:

  • Setting and retrieval of various blanking and bridge plugs / setting and retrieval of collar and tubing stops/ scraping and cleaning of tubing and casing I.D. / sample collection / paraffin cutting / total depth checks.

  • Experience and familiarity of various types of subsurface data acquisition deployment methods such as drop spool, semi-permanent, and permanent applications.

  • 1-2 years‘ experience as wireline / logging assistant.General knowledge of wireline operations, methods, techniques, and technologies.

  • Desire to increase knowledge and proficiency.

  • Warrior DAS, Excel, Share Point, MS office Suite (preferred).

  • Internal OQs - HSE block training, GSM III and II.
