Job Title: Sanitation Manager
Job Description
The Sanitation Manager will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring proper sanitation throughout our facility and recommending improvements in manufacturing methods and sanitation practices. This role will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of sanitation programs and SSOPs to meet company standards, as well as Federal, State and local regulatory requirements. This position will require working off shifts and weekends to ensure all sanitation standards are met.
Hard Skills
Minimum 3 years of Food Manufacturing Sanitation Leadership experience
Minimum of 3 years working in sanitation in the food industry or prior supervisory experience
Computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Word)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to develop and write SSOPs and perform training with team
Soft Skills
Ability to work within a team environment, treating all with respect
Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules as business needs demand
Ability to work with or around food allergens of all types
Ability to climb up and down ladders and traverse walkways
Job Type
This is a Direct Hire position on 1st shift.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Marion, Indiana.
Work Environment
The work environment will require the associate to climb, balance, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, use hands to finger, grasp, or feel objects, talk or communicate, and hear. The associate will frequently be required to assist with unsanitary conditions. Activities occur in coolers and freezers during shift, with exposure to cold and freezing temperatures, high heat, humidity, noise and potential hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals, and slippery floors. The associate may also come into contact with oils and other cutting fluids.
