Responsibilities

Foundations for Living is a leading provider of comprehensive mental health services for adolescents in a residential treatment facility setting. Our mission is to empower and support teens aged 10 to 17, assisting them in their journey towards recovery and improved mental well-being. We provide a compassionate and therapeutic environment that promotes growth, healing, and positive change.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate RN (Registered Nurse) to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. As an RN in our residential treatment facility, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our mental health teen residents.

Schedule: 5 days per week - 8-hour shifts. Schedule is a two-week rotating schedule and includes every other weekend.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor their effects.

  • Conduct health assessments and document observations accurately

  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Monitor and assist residents with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

  • Provide emotional support and crisis intervention as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.

  • Communicate effectively with the treatment team, residents, and their families.

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Ohio

  • Experience working in a mental health setting, preferably with adolescents

  • Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Basic computer skills for documentation purposes

  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with mental health teens
