FTE: 0.900000 Shift: Shift 4 Job Summary: Performs basic respiratory care duties as directed by the medical staff and in accordance with the hospital\'s objectives, policies and procedures. The individual will have a preceptor identified prior to the start of each rotation for supervision of duties. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Successful completion of all first year clinical rotations for respiratory therapy program is required. Must be and remain in good standing within the respiratory therapy program.EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Clinical experience in hospital, home care or skilled nursing facility is preferred. Member of the American Association for Respiratory Care/state Society for Respiratory Care is preferred.EDUCATION REQUIRED: Currently enrolled in an entry or advanced level accredited Respiratory Therapy Education program is required. EDUCATION PREFERRED: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.LICENSURE REQUIRED: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
