The Work

As a Documentation Engineer, you will oversee the scheduling and delivery of contract documents to our customers. Your responsibilities include coordinating document creation, managing document control processes, utilizing document management tools, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

•Coordinate the creation, review, and delivery of contract documents according to project timelines.

•Manage document control processes, including versioning, access control, and document lifecycle management.

•Utilize document management tools to maintain and organize project documentation.

•Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and legal teams to ensure contract documents meet quality and compliance standards.

•Monitor and track document workflows to ensure deadlines are met and potential issues are addressed proactively.

•Maintain accurate records of document revisions, updates, and approvals.

•Provide support during audits or inspections related to document management and compliance.

•Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to address document-related inquiries and requests.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

-Prior experience in document control, document management, or a related field

-Proficient with document management tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams

-Demonstrated Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

-Qualified candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Final Secret Security Clearance prior to starting this position. This

requires US Citizenship.

Desired Skills:

-Experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management Software (EPDM)

-Strong organizational and time management skills

-Strong ability to maintain accuracy and completeness in document creation, review, and delivery.

-Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and optimize document workflows efficiently.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, project managers, and customers.

-Ability to identify and resolve issues related to document content, format, or delivery schedules.

-Understanding of technical terminology and concepts related to engineering or project management documentation.

-Knowledge of compliance standards and quality assurance processes related to contract documentation.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
