JOB REQUIREMENTS: RN - Inpatient Medical Surgical & Short Stay - Part Time - 20351 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 70% FTE (56 hours per two week schedule), Day/Evening Shift with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Please take a minute to review this video of the Medical/Surgical and Short Stay unit. * 28-bed unit with a diverse medical/surgical patient population which provides nurses with the ability to utilize their expertise in assessment and intervention. * Patients may be admitted with an expected short stay post operatively, or for a medical condition or until they transition to a specific nursing unit. * Patients are received from multiple services such as Emergency Department, Operative Services, inter-hospital transfers and direct admissions from clinics, or patient homes. * All staff work together to ensure patient\'s needs are being met in a timely and effective manner with high patient satisfaction results. Work Experience : Minimum - Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health\'s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact. Current CPR/BLS Certification.
